JUSTIN ARNWINE teaches Latin and Personal Finance/Economics. He earned his B.A. from Lee University in Bible and Theology, an M.A. from Vanderbilt University in Religion, an M.T.S from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary in Theology, and a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in Medieval Studies. Dr. Arnwine has been teaching Latin at various educational institutions since 2016 and has enjoyed the challenge ever since.
JENNIFER BAKER earned a B.S. Business Administration from Appalachian State University and an MBA from Belmont University. She has been the High School Substitute since 2021.
HEATHER BALDY teaches High School Science for CCS. She earned her B.E. in Biomedical Engineering and a second Major in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University. Mrs. Baldy has been teaching since 2004 and is also the Assistant Coach for Science Olympiad, Faculty Advisor for the Key Club, and the Science Department Chair.
KARA CONNATSER teaches High School Social Studies and is the Social Studies Department Chair. She received an M.A. in History from Western Kentucky University and a B.A. in History from Lindsey Wilson College. She has been in education since 2007.
Ben Crocker is the Bible teacher for 11th grade, focusing on doctrine, theology, and apologetics. He received a Master's of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama. His previous degrees include a M.A. in Economics from the University of Tennessee and a B.B.A. in Economics from East Tennessee State University. He began teaching at Concord in 2023, but has been involved in education at some level throughout his graduate studies and beyond. This experience included teaching Biblical Hebrew at a Messianic church in Birmingham. Prior to returning to Knoxville and CCS, Mr. Crocker was ordained at his church and served as an elder. He also worked as a chaplain in Birmingham's hospital system for 5 years.
ALLISON DOBIAS teaches Middle School and High School Theatre Arts and Broadcasting. She earned a B.A. in Film and Digital Media and Theatre from Carson Newman University. She began working in education in 2021. She is also the Yearbook Advisor.
Jeff Evans began working in the field of education in 2003. He began working at CCS in 2021 as a High School Science teacher. Mr. Evans has Associates Degree in Civil Engineering from Pellissippi State College, a Bachelor's Degrees in Mathematics and in Biblical Studies from Carson-Newman University, a Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Theological Seminary, and a Master of Arts in Education from Johnson University. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Regent University. Jeff currently oversees our Science Olympiad team.
TAMMY LIGHTHOLDER is a High School English Teacher, the English Department Chair, and the High School Support Plan Coordinator. She earned a B.A. from Westminster College in Speech/Broadcasting and Religion. Her work began in the production of a live daily Christian television show in Pittsburgh before feeling called to teach in 1985.
NATALIE RENFROE is the CCS Band Director. She earned M.S. in Music Education from the University of Tennessee and a B.A. in Music Performance and International affairs from Florida State University. She has served as Principle horn for Akademie Ved Orchestra in Prague, Czech Republic, and currently subs as French Horn with the Alpharetta Symphony Orchestra.
Heather Reynolds is our High School Art Teacher. She began working in the field of education in 2007 and has worked at CCS since 2001. Heather has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from the University of Tennessee.
COLIN ROBERTS teaches High School English and helps sponsor the National Honors Society at CCS. He got his B.A. in History/Poly-Sci and English from King College, later earning a Masters in Theology, as well as a Masters in Education, from Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, MO. Mr. Roberts has been teaching since 1999.
Chandler Scoggins began working at CCS in 2023 as our High School Biology Teacher. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Georgia. Chandler coaches Cross Country and Track & Field for CCS.
JULIE SCROGGINS teaches high school math. She earned a B.S. in Secondary Education with a Mathematics concentration from Tennessee Tech University. She has been teaching math since 2006 and has taught all math levels ranging from 6th grade math through Calculus.
MATTHEW STEPHENS received his Bachelor’s in Music in Instrumental Music Education from Carson-Newman University. He served as Director of Bands for nine years at CCS before stepping into a full-time Bible position. He is currently pursuing an M.A. in Biblical Studies at Bob Jones University. Mr. Stephens teaches New Testament Theology and Doctrines as well as Senior Boys Bible Seminar. He has been in education since 2012.
COLTON SWEET comes to us with a B.A. degree in History and also an M.A. in Secondary Education. Colton has 3 years of teaching experience and several years of coaching experience. In addition to Assistant Athletic Director, Colton is also one of our new high school baseball coaches.
LINCOLN THOMAS is the Director of Strength and Performance and was hired in 2021. He has a Master's in Education from Lipscomb University. Coach Thomas has over 25 years of coaching experience and currently holds and maintains the following certifications: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, High School Strength Coach Certification, and Olympic Weightlifting Certification.
ELAINE WALKER is teaching High School Math. She received her M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction and a B.S. in Microbiology and Political Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She also has graduate hours in chemistry and math. She has been working in education since 1989.
Cari Welsh began working in education in 2017 with experience working as a professional instructor and trainer in various corporate settings since 2001. In 2023, Mrs. Welsh came to CCS to teach High School English. She has a Bachelors of Art degree from the University of Tennessee, a Masters of Science degree from the University of Tennessee and a Masters of Education degree from Liberty University. Cari co-leads the Key Club at CCS and has served on the Board of Directors at Marble Spring State Historic Site since 2019.
NICOLE WIGGINS received her degrees from the University of West Florida and Southeast Baptist Theological Seminary. She has been teaching Algebra since 2020 and joined the CCS faculty in 2022. She also has experience as a missionary training students and leading the North London city team for the International Mission Board.
KEVIN WINSLETT teaches High School History. He earned an M.S. in Education and a B.A. in History from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. He has been working in education since 2006. Mr. Winslett is also the High School Football Coach and the History Club Sponsor.
SONYA WRIGHT teaches High School Spanish. She earned her B.S. in Secondary Education from Hyles-Anderson College in the fields of Spanish, Business, and Home Economics. She and her husband, Pete, served for eleven years as missionaries with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism in Santiago, Chile. Mrs. Wright has been working in education since 1989 and joined the CCS faculty in 2008. She is also the World Language Department Chair and the Advisor of the Spanish Honor Society. The CCS chapter is called Leones Sabios de Concord translated as Wise Lions of Concord.
